They’re by the dock with a fantastic outdoor porch that looks out over the lake. Stop by and say hi while their finishing up construction.

Nefertiti, aka the Cupcake Ladi, will soon be selling her amazing, decadent, and delectable creations from her shop on the Quayside. She plans to open in December. Maybe if we ask nice, she’ll open sooner…

Join Reston resident and author Paul R. Friedman as he promotes his book “Two Circles of Life” on October 23, 2010 from Noon to 2pm at Reston’s Used Book Shop at Lake Anne Plaza.
“Two Circles of Life” tells the story of growing up under Communist dogmas, depicts all the dramatic events the author had to go through, describes various facets of the Soviet society, and provides the insider’s analysis of Communism and the Soviet Union.

blue grass jamPull out your banjo, guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, or spoons and join in the fun at Lake Anne Plaza. Reston’s Used Book Shop’s next “5th Sunday Bluegrass Jam” is Sunday, October 31 from 1 to 4pm.

This open Bluegrass Jam is a favorite for local Bluegrass lovers. Drop in to play, or just come hang out and listen. This is an open acoustic bluegrass jam session. All levels of players are welcome to join in.

The Jam takes place in front of the used book shop, so any one sitting outside and enjoying lunch at one of Lake Anne’s restaurants can enjoy the fun too.

“Two Circles of Life” tells the story of growing up under Communist dogmas, depicts all the dramatic events the author had to go through, describes various facets of the Soviet society, and provides the insider’s analysis of Communism and the Soviet Union.

Paul FriedmanPaul was born in Moscow, Russia to American parents who moved there from the United States in the mid 1930s. They were lured by the ideals of building a new progressive and prosperous society. What they found was quite the opposite and certainly not what they expected.

What's happening at the plaza

The Saturday Markets are open and the patios are full of diners. It's Summer on Lake Anne and there's a ton going on!
 
June launches the Summer Film Festival, Take A Break Concerts and a full line up of Festival Fun. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the entire list current goings on.

July will bring the 4th Annual Ukulele Festival with a great line up and Craft Beer. Come join us in a celebration of this quirky instrument that has charmed so many. July 13th from 11:00 - 5:00.
